After you read this book, The Dick by Jimmy Pudge, don't even try to tell me you were rooting for the protagonist, Jonny Sausage. Don't say "well, I liked the story but it was rather graphic." And I don't wanna hear anyone bitching about how often Jonny's extraordinary penis makes an appearance in the story.You know you had a good time. You know you laughed your ass off. Jimmy Pudge doesn't leave the reader feeling dirty, but you don't feel uplifted, either. His writing leaves you wiping tears of laughter from your eyes and needing to change your unmentionables after losing control of your bladder.
Jonny Sausage is an ugly porn star -- a sort of Ron Jeremy type -- who gets the ax and freaks out. Well, he did think the viewers loved him and that he was one of the top porn actors in the world. He was wrong, but the news still came as a shock.
Jonny's freak out leads him back home, to the town where he grew up. Through careful use of his penis as a means of exchange, he gets a place to live, gets a private eye's certificate to hang on his wall and, in no time, he's hired to work a case.
His newly acquired career is off with a bang as he encounters vampires, vampire hunters, some very crazy ass women and so many funny accidents, I can't do them justice here.
Jimmy Pudge tickles my funny bone every time. His raunchy, wild mind is like an adults-only amusement park, and you're as likely to find a super-sized penis as a man in a mesh suit chained inside a dog house. Don't be shy and don't pretend you're not intrigued. The Dick is a fun ride. Be sure to check it out.

Out of shape, out of work, and out of his friggin mind, Jonny Sausage is the new and rather picaresque protagonist of the latest genre bending novella from Jimmy Pudge. Like many of his characters, Johnny, is hard to root for, but once you get your hands on The Dick, you will find yourself doing just that. Well, maybe not rooting, so much as, wincing and as you join him on his struggles to make a name for himself, and possible, win the girl of his dreams.
This was another trip down trashy lane but in a good way with the man known as Jimmy M.F. Pudge. This time around we have a story centered on a fella who is down on his luck and on his way out of the adult film business. One day while flipping burgers our former star get's an idea to go online and became a private detective hence the name Dick but it works great you have to admit. This was a fun quick read and I look forward to reading some more of what of I have from Jimmy M.F. Pudge.
I never thought I could feel sorry for an out of work, drug using, overly disgusting Porn star . . . turns out I was wrong. Jimmy Pudge paints an amazing picture of a loser trying to pull himself back up after the world literally knocks him flat on his back. From the first page I was hooked. Pudge holds absolutely NOTHING back in this one. Sex, vampires, NASTY(and I do mean NASTY) sex, S&M to the EXTREME, and of course an ending you'll never forget. If you've read any of Mr. Pudge's previous work you won't be disappointed and if this is your first foray into his imagination, be prepared for it's not for the faint of heart. You'll laugh, you'll cringe, you'll cry, okay maybe not cry, but you will enjoy this book. It's well worth the price.
I went into this book skeptical; a former third rate porn star turned PI runs into vampires? Not possible to make a good read, right? Wrong.
Jimmy Pudge does a magnificent job in portraying Jonny Sausage in his many forms. First there's a hint of Dirk Diggler followed by Jonny taking on shades of Sam Spade. Top it off with brilliant pokes at popular culture (True Blood, Twilight etc) and this story had me in stitches. It reminded me of something Monty Python might've written had they sat together to create this. I will, without a doubt, look for more from this author.
I never thought I would find myself reading a book that had sparkly vampires in it, let alone enjoying it, but this is exactly the situation I found myself in yesterday. Knowing he has more to offer the world than the ability to flip burgers at a fast food joint, ex-porn star Jonny Sausage decides to become a private investigator. Only one thing stands in his way, the need of a credit card to pay for his online private investigator course. Thankfully, the old crotchety librarian, who has thrown him off the computers once already for looking at porn, agrees to help. The price for this is sex. Having recognized him from his films the librarian wants to experience the epic penis that made him famous. Once that is complete, and after he gives her the cash to reimburse the credit card fee, which he stole from a pizza delivery boy, she hands over her card. Not long after that, Jonny Sausage is a private investigator. Of course, the job isn't as easy as he originally thought. Making it even more difficult, his first customer is a vampire, one who wants him to find the people responsible for killing the other members of her family. Will he be able to provide the necessary services to complete the job for the breathtaking beauty, or will working an actual case prove to be too much for the overweight bumbling idiot? Only time will tell.
A fun, quirky book, The Dick by Jimmy Pudge is unlike anything I have really read before and most certainly is something that I won't soon forget. It also was a book that caught me off guard simply because I thought it was going to be a private investigator vampire horror mix. Instead, it was more of a disgusting erotic comedy (the word disgusting being used in the best possible way), one that grows on you with each turn of the page until you literally can't put it down. This is what happened to me. At first, I was startled and wondering what I had gotten myself into; then I started nodding my head with understanding and grinning like a grade school kid who heard an adult say the word boobies. By the end, which occurred within two hours of sitting down with the book, I was completely digging the experience and actually laughed out loud several times; the best of those moments being when Jonny Sausage actually used his oversized penis to knock someone out. And in the midst of all this, sissy sparkling vampires that everyone is trying to kill. What's not to love?
